Help Desk1. Poster submission and presentation 1) Posters need to be in PDF file for submission. 2) Click “Upload Poster” button to go to submission page. 3) If you are not registered, register first and then login to submission page. 4) Fill in the information to the corresponding area. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. Pointing cursor to the “?” to see specific instructions for the given fields. 5) The poster will be reviewed by eBioPoster editors before presented online. The process is to prevent unwanted materials to be loaded. There will be no scientific judgment applied to posters. 6) After poster is presented online, a notification email will be sent to your registered email address. 7) Newly submitted posters will be presented on home page, as well as in selected subject categories (primary and secondary). The most recent poster will be listed on the top. 2. Search posters 1) Search by key words: type key words in search box and click magnifier sign. Follow the instruction to narrow your key words specification. 2) Search by presenter’s name: type presenter’s full name in search box. 3) Click author’s and co-author’s name to show all posters by this presenter. 3. Make a comment , write to author (s), request PDF and add to my favorites 1) These functions are associated with each specific poster and listed on the individual poster page. Only registered users can use these functions. 2) To make a comment, write in the message box and click “Send” button. Your comments will be posted publicly. 3) To write to author (s), click “Write to Author (s)” button and write a message on next page. Click “Send” button to deliver message. 4) All PDF files presented at eBioPoster cannot be copied or printed. If you need a printable PDF file, you can request it from the author by clicking “Request PDF” button. You should receive author’s response via email. 5) If you like the posters and want to view them later, you can add to My Favorites by clicking the button. 4. Rate and vote 1) Readers’ Choice Poster Contest will be held periodically. A “Vote Me” button is on each poster page. Only registered users can vote. The voter can only vote once on each poster in each subject category. Posters receive highest votes will be the winners and authors will receive awards and prize. Details for specific contest will be announced separately. 2) All voters have chances to win prize by online lottery. 3) Most popular posters are rated by viewers by clicking on posters. No registration is required to view posters. Most viewed posters will be listed on the top under “Most Popular” section. 4) Most commented posters are determined by the numbers of comments posted. Registration is required to write comments. Posters received most comments will be listed on the top under “Most Commented” section.
FAQ & Answers Q: Can I submit posters presented in other conferences? A: Yes, you can submit posters presented in other conferences as long as the conferences have no copyrights for the posters.
Q: Is the data shown in poster presentation at eBioPoster considered to be published? A: No, the poster presented here is not considered a publication. The poster can be removed and modified by authors at any time. It cannot be cited either. However, inventions and patentable results should not be disclosed in posters.
Q: I want to show my poster just presented at a conference. However I am a student (or postdoc) and my PI may not want unpublished data to be shown online. Should I get his permission? A: Obtaining permission from your PI is recommended. If it is scientifically justifiable, sensitive information can be removed from your poster.
Q: If I like the poster, can I download the PDF file? A: Yes, you can download the PDF file. But you cannot copy the contents or print it. If you need a printable poster, you can request it from author by clicking “request PDF” button.
Q: Can one poster be presented under multiple subject categories? A: Yes, it can. Although we recommend that one category is chosen for each poster, you can choose more than one categories if the research in your poster is related to multiple areas. You need to select a primary category. One poster can only be awarded once for a given contest.
Q: I am a vendor (or service provider). Can I present products or service related posters? A: Posters for commercial purpose are welcome. Certain fees may apply.
