Abstract: The inventions relate to antimicrobial preparations containing optimized combination of furazolidone and a benzimidazole derivative as well as mixed ligand metal complexes, for controlling plant pathogenic fungi (stone fruit canker, Fusarium blight, downy mildews, late blight) and bacteria (fire blight, Erwinia black foot, citrus canker, blight of rice) even being tolerant to commercial pesticides. They can also be used in protection of various products against deteriorative action of microbes. The special advantages are either the high variation of the structure of new active molecules via introduction of selected pharmacophores or the supple mixture of molecules with desired physicochemical properties that result optimization of toxicological and physicochemical properties requested for the field of application. The optimized mixtures efficiently inhibit streptomycin tolerant bacteria, the probability (f) of the appearance of strains with acquired resistance to it is low (f
